A Model Proven to Eliminate Health Disparities While Supporting Families to Thrive

Beloved Birth Collective offers a proven, midwifery-led group perinatal care model ready to scale, backed by five years of outcomes data no comparable effort has matched.

The Opportunity

Every full-term, healthy-weight birth Beloved makes possible is a cost avoided, a family kept out of the NICU, and proof that investing upstream, in people and in systems, is cheaper and more humane than paying for the consequences later.

The Challenge

Preterm birth costs the U.S. healthcare system an estimated $25 billion a year, roughly $65,000 for every baby born too soon. That cost lands on families, on hospitals, and on the public dollars that fund their care.

The Beloved Goal

Over the next five years, Beloved Birth will partner with public health,
healthcare systems, birthing centers, and universities to:

Sustain and scale the Beloved Birth approach to perinatal care transformation.

Grow the pipeline and nurture the workforce of Black midwives.

Help shift how California funds and regulates perinatal equity work.

“[Beloved] helps Black pregnant women through the most vulnerable time of their lives in navigating pregnancy and everything associated with it.”
